Katie and Jon - Scranton, PA

In October of 2017, I photographed Katie and Jon’s wedding in Princeton, MA. It was a stunning Fall day filled with love and celebration! But one thing was missing - Katie’s dad was unable to make it to their wedding last minute, and instead of canceling, they decided to have a civil ceremony and get married at a later date in the church both Katie’s parents and grandparents got married in. When Katie texted me and asked if we wanted to head down to Scranton, PA (Yes, the Office!) I jumped with excitement. Not only was I excited to hang out with Katie, Jon and their families again, we got to explore Scranton and see a few Office hot spots. Plus, I got to meet their rescue dog Gracie, who was adopted after their wedding in 2017. She was SO sweet and we made sure she was in as many photos as possible. We brought our dogs along for the ride and at the end of the reception, we brought them out to say hi! Lilah and Bean loved meeting them and getting to crash the wedding.

It was the perfect way to end 2018. Katie and Jon’s families welcomed us back with open arms- we truly felt like guests throughout the day. It was beyond special to see Katie share the day with her dad. Watching her walk down the aisle with him and have their first dance together brought tears to my eyes.

To Katie and Jon, thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting us capture the two most important days in your lives. I am so thankful for your support, friendship and making us feel like family!
