Rachel & Jason - NEOC Maine

Oh my, where do I begin! When I met Rachel and Jason in Maine at one of my favorite places for their engagement session, it felt like we had known each other longer than just an hour. But that’s what is so special about the outdoors and the people who love it, it connects you so quickly and deeply!

Rachel and Jason completed the Appalachian Trail together in 2019, all 2,220 miles of it! If that isn’t the true test of a relationship, I don’t know what is. Through literal peaks and valleys, their relationship became stronger as they finished on top of Maine’s highest mountain, Katahdin. It only made sense that they would return some day to say “I do”.

Their wedding day wasn’t only for them - it was about bringing their dear friends and family to a place that means so much to them. They wanted everyone they love to experience northern Maine magic. Even though Katahdin was hiding behind fog and smoke, its surroundings still looked stunning and everything was like a movie scene. Or, as we said in a text just now, “the royal wedding meets LL Bean”! A match made in heaven!

I am SO excited to share this highlight blog with you all, with some of my favorite moments from their day. Thank you Rachel and Jason for trusting me with your vision and trusting me to do this place justice. Thank you for being the kind of people who feel like a ray of sunshine and made us feel welcome in your trail family. Looking forward to our next adventure together!
